Wolves chief Jeff Shi would have been better off keeping his mouth shut amid all the criticism from his recent BBC interview.
That is now 15 games without a win for Wolves as Derby County’s Premier League lowest points tally of 11 looks to be a tall ask.
Jeff Shi has given his backing to Rob Edwards and has predicted he could be at Molineux for the next two or three years. And at this point, not even Pep Guardiola could turn things around here.
There are serious concerns over whether the current ownership is really in it for the love of Wolves and the local surroundings, or whether this is all just one big money-making scheme.
The alleged lie about the redevelopment of the Steve Bull stand only adds to the speculation, as Jeff Shi was caught out by the local council for being the reason it hasn’t progressed.

Jeff Shi makes a U-turn on the success of Wolves’ summer transfer window
The summer transfer window saw the likes of Nelson Semedo, Matheus Cunha, Pablo Sarabia, Rayan Ait-Nouri, and a number of other players leave.
Wolves spent over £100 million to try and replace those players, but failed miserably.
Jhon Arias was supposed to be the man to replace Cunha at Molineux. However, he’s yet to register a goal or an assist in the Premier League this season.
Every single player that Wolves signed had zero top-flight experience, and that is showing right now.
It appears as if Jeff Shi has now magically noticed this himself as he backtracks on his comment regarding Vitor Pereira and the summer transfer window.
Jeff Shi has a new summer transfer window outlook. Thoughts?🤔
Worrying times for Wolves and the future at Molineux
It says it all when it takes the bad results and the sheer disgust from supporters for Jeff Shi, one of the main men running Wolves, to realise the summer transfer window wasn’t good enough.
We need people in place who can make sure mistakes like these don’t happen in the first place.
Wolves turned down signing the likes of Harry Wilson and David Brooks in the summer. Two players who have been shining lights for their respective sides this season.
Instead, we have a struggling Jhon Arias and an unproven teenager in Fer Lopez.
Massive changes need to be made at the club at various levels, not just on the field in January.
