Jackson Tchatchoua keeps doing one thing for Wolves that is utterly frustrating

Wolves’ performance against West Ham was excellent from start to finish, and while Jackson Tchatchoua had a solid game, there is one gripe with his performances as of late.

In a match where it would be harsh to label any Old Gold player as poor, Tchatchoua was certainly not at the same level as the rest.

Alongside Jhon Arias, he had a tough job to keep Crysencio Summerville quiet, and overall he did do a good job of that.

However, the problem arises when the Wanderers look to break out on the attack, stemming from one thing Tchatchoua seemingly refuses to do, which was on full display against the Hammers.

WOW 😍. What is your message to Rob Edwards after that performance, Wolves fans?

During Wolves’ game against West Ham, Jackson Tchatchoua kept on doing one thing that was completely and utterly frustrating to watch.

There were countless times the wingback was high up on the wing, with just one defender ahead of him, and with his pace, you would bet on him to burst past most in the Premier League.

However, the Cameroonian more often than not refused to use the unique asset he had at his disposal, instead passing it sideways or backwards.

The summer signing’s speed has been compared to Adama Traore’s, but so far, gone are the days of a right wingback blitzing past the opposition.

He completed one unsuccessful dribble and only managed two unsuccessful crosses, which is not great for a player expected to be an attacking wingback.

Don’t hold back, how have you HONESTLY rated Jackson Tchatchoua’s time at Wolves so far?

He was signed for £10 million.

Matters are made worse when Tolu Arokodare has shown he is so good in the air for the Wanderers.

It was not an overly impressive performance from him, but Tchatchoua did do enough defensively to not be criticised too much against West Ham.

Rob Edwards must get more out of Jackson Tchatchoua

Overall, you would expect a lot more from Tchatchoua from an offensive viewpoint, and Rob Edwards needs to try and relay that message.

Whether that is to boost his confidence or instruct him to start trusting himself in those situations, it could offer more threat for Wolves going forward.

The head coach will certainly have plenty of players who can replace Tchatchoua if he continues to frustrate.

Matt Doherty and Ki-Jana Hoever can play at right wingback; meanwhile, Rodrigo Gomes, who is close to a return from injury, has also been used there before.
