Fer Lopez is being linked with an early exit from Wolves, and there is now word of Rob Edwards’ stance on the player.
Fer Lopez was Wolves’ first signing of the summer, and there was real excitement when he arrived.
Lopez had shown good potential over in Spain, despite not being on the scene for very long, and it was felt he could be a potential replacement for Pablo Sarabia.
Following a decent pre-season, fans were excited to see Lopez kick on.
Does Fer Lopez deserve more minutes for Wolves?
But unfortunately, minutes have been hard to come by for the youngster, with only Mateus Mane getting fewer first-team minutes this season so far.
Now, Lopez is being linked with a return to Celta Vigo, who want to take the player on loan.
There seems to be an outside chance that he could go, but Rob Edwards ought to try and prevent that.
Rob Edwards must try and play Fer Lopez into form at Wolves

It has been tricky for Lopez.
He arrived with a big price tag, and there was also going to be a shock to the system as a young player coming to the Premier League from La Liga.
Vitor Pereira didn’t seem to trust Lopez, and it was interesting to see that Rob Edwards did not turn to him in his first game against Crystal Palace.
One wonders if there really could be an exit for Lopez in the next window, because there have been some suggestions that he’s not in Edwards’ plans.
Celta may struggle to sign Lopez due to his salary, but there is always the possibility another club might fancy signing him.
It would perhaps be a hasty move to offload Lopez.
Yes, he has struggled a bit so far.
But one can argue that he hasn’t been given a proper chance to build momentum.
And Wolves have clearly lacked creativity and incision this season, which has made Lopez’s lack of minutes all the more baffling, given he’s known for being a creative player.
Despite his lack of minutes, Lopez has still managed to record an impressive SCA (shot-creating actions) per 90 metric of 5.25 (via fbref), which is higher than all the other attacking players at Wolves.
Edwards needs to be getting his arm around Lopez and trying to help the Spaniard play his way into form at Wolves.
Given the form of some other players right now, he surely cannot continue warming the bench.
Wolves may regret losing Lopez

It would be a great shame if Lopez left in the first window after he joined, and also slightly embarrassing for the club.
Wolves should try to avoid this outcome, because there is definitely a player there.
We have seen glimpses of his creativity. The game against Everton in the Premier League earlier in the season was a positive for him, with Jack Grealish praising Lopez after the game.
There was real hype when Fer Lopez first signed for Wolves
He also did well against Leeds United, despite being taken off at half-time.
Fans have seen so often in recent times how players thrive away from Molineux, so perhaps a bit of patience is required with Lopez, who still has the potential to make a positive difference at Wolves.
