Rayan Ait-Nouri’s exit from Wolves has been mooted for a while, and Vitor Pereira will need to find a replacement for the Algerian.
Manchester City are close to signing Ait-Nouri after agreeing a £33.7 million fee and a five-year contract at the Etihad Stadium.
Ait-Nouri is also completing his medical, as Wolves prepare to lose their all-conquering wing-back, who recorded the most goal involvements of any Premier League defender last term.
Micah Richards has predicted Ait-Nouri to shine at Man City after watching him flourish for the Old Gold, which emphasises how important it is to find the right successor.
Molineux News exclusively revealed that Brondby’s Clement Bischoff is on Wolves’ radar, and the exciting teenager isn’t the only one.

Wolves are interested in Barcelona’s Gerard Martin
It was revealed by journalist Matteo Moretto on X that Wolves are interested in Barcelona left-back Gerard Martin as a potential replacement for Ait-Nouri.
SPORT have also said that Barca are willing to listen to offers for their academy graduate, who made 42 appearances in all competitions in 2024/25 and was integral during their Champions League run.
Martin made history by becoming the fourth-youngest player to provide two assists in the Champions League semi-final, with the 23-year-old shining on the elite stage of European football.
The young Spaniard recently signed a contract until June 2028, however, the La Liga giants are open to selling him if a ‘significant offer’ is made, according to the report.
After an impressive campaign which saw him register six assists in all competitions, Martin isn’t short of suitors from the Premier League and Bundesliga, with Wolves potentially using Jorge Mendes as a persuasive tool to land his signature.

Wolves’ interest in Martin is bad news for Hugo Bueno
Although there are several names on the radar for their left wing-back role, Molineux News revealed in February that Hugo Bueno is seen as a replacement for Ait-Nouri this summer.
Wolves sent Bueno on loan to Feyenoord in 2024/25, and the Spanish defender flourished in the Champions League.
Some supporters are excited for the 23-year-old to return to Molineux this summer, while Robin van Persie wants to keep Bueno at Feyenoord.
That is why interest in other players for the wing-back role won’t please Bueno, who is desperate to play regular first-team football next season.
He doesn’t want to compete with someone else, perhaps feeling he deserves an opportunity now that Ait-Nouri is on his way out.
However, signing Martin, Bischoff, or anyone else could result in him battling for a place in Pereira’s plans, leaving him worried about his future.
