Hugo Bueno set for remarkable change on loan that could significantly impact Wolves future

Two of Wolves’ loan players are loving life away from Molineux, with Hugo Bueno recently earning the headlines.

In the summer, the Old Gold sanctioned the loans of several players, including first-team duo Fabio Silva and Bueno

While Silva is impressing at UD Las Palmas, the striker is not expected to have a future at Wolves but, that’s an opposing stance to Bueno, who penned a new contract before leaving.

On loan at Feyenoord, Bueno is thriving in the Netherlands but, the Spaniard could be about to experience a vast change.

Hugo Bueno’s loan club Feyenoord set to recruit Robin van Persie as manager

Wolves fans want to see Bueno return to fight for a spot in the starting XI, which seems to be the plan as the defender is certainly taking his chances in the Netherlands.

As well as experiencing what the Eredivisie has to offer, Bueno has earned rave reviews in the Champions League, as he helped Feyenoord reach the round of 16 of the competition.

With the 22-year-old making his time on loan count, there’s a lot of excitement building around what the future has to offer for the left-back, particularly the immediate future.

Before Bueno returns to Wolves, the fullback is set to undergo significant change at Feyenoord, with a change in manager forecast at the club.

The Athletic reported that Brian Priske, who was recently dismissed, is in line to be replaced by none other than Robin van Persie, who could leave Heerenveen to take up a role at his former club.

Such could impact Bueno as not only will his squad experience change tactically but, working closely with Van Persie could morph the way he plays.

Bueno could be boosted by Van Persie’s guidance

It’s an interesting time for Bueno, who despite being used as a left-back at Wolves, has been a midfielder and more of an attacking figure in the past, which came into play recently.

In the Champions League league phase knockouts, Bueno was utilised in midfield, where he assisted Feyenoord’s match-winner, seeing his attacking qualities exploited for a remarkable outcome.

Being coached by a former player as impressive as Van Persie could have a staggering impact on Bueno, who after finding his feet as a midfielder again, could be developed into an even stronger attacking force.

There are few finishers better to learn from than the former Arsenal and Manchester United man, who netted 144 goals in his Premier League career.

Given how much emphasis Vitor Pereira puts on his fullbacks contributing in the final third, such change could bolster Bueno’s chances of returning to Wolves as a starter, in what is an exciting time for the 22-year-old.
