Fosun risk signalling their ultimate admission of failure at Wolves

The January transfer window will be crucial to the future of Wolves, with plenty of players possibly coming and going.

Wolves are currently on one of the worst starts in Premier League history, winning just zero games from 16. Even Derby County’s lowest points tally of 11 is looking really good right now.

Reinforcements are needed across the board. Goals have been hard to come by, and the defence have been rather leaky, as well as goalkeeping errors.

Christos Mandas is one player who has been rumoured, as well as winger Matias Fernandez-Pardo, who looks to be of a similar mould to Pedro Neto.

Out of 10, how would you rate the potential signing of Matias Fernandez-Pardo?

But the club are going to have a hard time persuading these players to make the move.

That won’t be the only action, as clubs and rivals will no doubt cast their eye over any of Wolves’ top-tier players in the hope a bargain can be secured.

Wolves midfielder Andre is attracting big interest from Galatasaray

In this situation, you buy reinforcements; you don’t sell your best midfielder.

Selling Andre now suggests the board has already “priced in” relegation to the Championship, which wouldn’t surprise anyone given the comment Jeff Shi made.

Galatasaray are sniffing around, according to Turkish outlet Sok Gazetese.

They state that the Wolves midfielder is a priority for the winter window, and they are willing to offer between €25m (£22m) and €30m (£26m).

Is Andre unsellable in January?🤔

“He is one of the best number sixes in the league, there’s no doubt about that.”

An Andre sale would be Fosun’s ultimate admission of failure at Wolves

Wolves paid a potential £21 million to sign Andre from Fluminense. A £26m sale sounds like profit, but after Fluminense’s sell-on clauses and the difficulty of finding a replacement, it makes no sense.

Fosun cannot afford to make decisions that make relegation a mathematical certainty.

Selling Andre in this current situation isn’t just a transfer; it’s a surrender. Wolves fans will assume Joao Gomes and Jorgen Strand Larsen are next to go, and it shifts the club’s identity from fighting for survival to literally just liquidating assets before the Championship comes around.

If Fosun thought the protests now were enough, then they can expect even more backlash coming their way.

No official decision has been made on Andre, but this is the perfect opportunity for Fosun to prove to Wolves fans that they at least have some kind of clue.
