The spoils were shared in the Premier League on Saturday as Wolves clinched a 1-1 draw against Everton.
The biggest talking point ahead of the clash was how well Wolves would cope without Matheus Cunha, who faced the first match of his suspension.
Cunha’s influence this season has been incredible, plundering 15 goals in all competitions and being the player they rely on to produce a moment of quality.
He is irreplaceable in the starting lineup, as demonstrated on numerous occasions this term, though there is one other player who can stake a similar claim.

Andre is irreplaceable to Wolves – his stats vs Everton were incredible
Marshall Munetsi’s first goal for the club saw Wolves clinch a 1-1 draw against Everton, but Andre’s performance drew the most plaudits.
He was incredible in midfield alongside his Brazilian teammate Joao Gomes, with the duo forming a brilliant partnership in the engine room.
Andre showcased a calmness under pressure when receiving the ball, demonstrating his brilliant press resistance, while his passing range was sensational, as usual.
Andre’s stats vs Everton |
89 minutes played |
91 touches |
8/8 accurate long balls |
72/74 accurate passes (97%) |
9/11 ground duels won |
5 tackles |
3 fouls drawn |
The 23-year-old remarkably only misplaced two of his 74 attempted passes and won an incredible nine of his 11 ground duels, showing his ability to win possession back as well as control it.
Alongside Cunha, Andre has arguably been Vitor Pereira’s most influential player in recent weeks and displays – like the one against Everton – explain why.

Andre has been selected in the Brazil squad
Although Gomes missed out on the Brazil squad, to the surprise of many Wolves fans, teammates Andre and Cunha were selected.
Since joining for £21 million from Fluminense in the summer transfer window, Andre has proven to be a bargain, flexing his incredible midfield skillset.
He’s also demonstrated his attributes on the international stage for Brazil, and he will hope to start in their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Colombia and Argentina this month.
During the period when his players are on international duty, though, Pereira will be praying none of his players get injured as it could be detrimental.

19 | 27 | 4 | 5 | 18 | 25 | 61 | -36 | 17 |
Wolves may be six points clear of the relegation zone, but setbacks to key players could damage their chances of survival, which would be a travesty.
Hopefully, Andre and his teammates can have a successful break with their countries and return fully fit to attack the run-in.
