Wolves loanee Fabio Silva is making the headlines in Spain as the striker continues to shine in La Liga.
Wolves sent a host of players on loan ahead of the 2024/25 campaign and for some, time away from Molineux has changed everything.
Fabio Silva is one player who is loving life on loan, tearing up La Liga representing UD Las Palmas sitting mid-table in Spain’s top flight.
The striker has certainly split opinion during his Wolves career, signing for a staggering £35m back in 2020.

Fabio Silva silences the Bernabeu with goal against Real Madrid
After Silva endured a nightmare loan spell at Rangers, the striker was open to leaving Wolves once more in the summer.
While it was expected that Silva would leave Wolves permanently, the forward departed on loan to join Las Palmas, where he’s been making waves in Spain.
Most recently, Silva made the headlines as he scored after just 27 seconds at the Bernabeu to stun Real Madrid.
The goal was a clinical finish after some sublime movement from the 22-year-old, who added to his goal tally for the 2024/25 campaign.
With six goals and two assists in La Liga this term, Silva is impressing those at Las Palmas, with his goal against Real Madrid adding to his collection of memorable goals – coming after he scored against Barcelona.
What Wolves must now do with Silva
Even though the loanee is in searing form in Spain, Wolves are insistent on selling Silva in the summer regardless.
Scoring against Real Madrid in style would’ve certainly impressed those at Molineux, certainly Vitor Pereira who is yet to share his verdict on the 22-year-old.
That being said, Wolves and particularly Pereira mustn’t be charmed by Silva, as it’s abundantly clear that the player is not a Premier League forward.
In all competitions this season, Silva has scored eight goals in 15 games in Spain for Las Palmas, eclipsing his Wolves tally of seven goals in 62 games.
The 22-year-old has an incredibly high ceiling but, it’s becoming more and more clear that his development must take place away from England.
Wolves reportedly want £15m for Silva, a figure that could rocket based on his form in La Liga.
His season highs must be seen purely as a transfer boost for the Old Gold as his lack of suitability for the Premier League becomes even clearer.
