Fabio Silva should start Wolves' FA Cup clash with Norwich

Wolves are back in FA Cup action this weekend and take on Norwich City in the fourth round.

Wanderers ran out 3-0 winners against Sheffield United in the previous round. And fans are optimistic about a good cup run this year.

Bruno Lage has talked up the competition, and he seems ready to give it a good go.

Norwich have improved since the arrival of Dean Smith. But it is still a golden chance of victory for Wolves.

It will be interesting to see what kind of team Bruno Lage puts out.

There is probably a strong chance Fabio Silva will be starting for Wanderers up top.

Raul Jimenez missed the win over Brentford with a calf injury, and the striker is currently on duty with Mexico.

The 30-year-old missed the World Cup qualifiers with Jamaica and Costa Rica.

El Tri have another game against Panama in the early hours of Thursday morning (UK time). It remains to be seen if Jimenez will have any kind of involvement.

There is a chance he may not play. And if that is the case, Lage shouldn’t be tempted to start him against Norwich.

Jimenez has played a lot of football so far this season.

This is the ideal opportunity for him to rest and recuperate, especially having recently sustained an injury.

Fabio Silva has got to start against Norwich and be allowed to build on good recent form

Even if £30 million star Jimenez (BBC Sport) wasn’t coming back from a small injury, Silva should be starting this game on Saturday.

The 19-year-old has been much improved in recent weeks after a tough start to the season.

Lage himself has stated that Silva is a different player to the one that got taken off at half-time against Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup.

£80,000-a-week star Silva (Spotrac) put in one of his best performances in a Wolves shirt against Sheffield United in the last round.

He deserves to start again against the Canaries.
