Every Vitor Pereira signing at Wolves rated, including a standout 8/10 and a disappointing 4/10

In the 10 months since Vitor Pereira has been at the helm, Wolves have seen nine new signings come in the door.

Vitor Pereira has had to deal with quite a bit of squad turnover in his short time as Wolves manager.

His spell at Molineux has been positive, despite the new season posing plenty of challenges. As well as overseeing the departures of key players like Matheus Cunha, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Nelson Semedo, the Portuguese boss has been involved in the recruitment of their replacements.

Some have hit the ground running at their new club, but others have been slow out of the gates.

Here’s each recent Wolves signing rated out of ten.

Vitor Pereira’s Wolves signings

Emmanuel Agbadou

The first man through the door last January was Emmanuel Agbadou, who has had a mixed experience at Molineux.

Last season, his arrival elevated Wolves defensively, and he genuinely looked like a 9/10 kind of signing. This season hasn’t gone as hoped, but Agbadou looks to be finding form. Given the quality he has shown outside of this rough patch, he still gets a very good score.

7/10

Marshall Munetsi

Not long after Agbadou, Marshall Munetsi followed, also leaving Reims to join Pereira’s side.

Munetsi is a box-to-box beast, and despite the occasional frustrations from fans, he has been a quality midfield addition.

Nasser Djiga

We haven’t seen much of Nasser Djiga. He is currently on loan at Rangers, where the manager just got sacked for performance-related issues.

It feels harsh to judge the 22-year-old centre-back for Rangers’ poor form, but we’re yet to see the quality that spurred Wolves to go after him.

5/10

Jhon Arias

After a successful Club World Cup campaign, Jhon Arias was brought in to fill the Cunha-sized void in the attack.

The Colombian started slow, but he looks better with each passing game. His defensive effort is outstanding, but he now needs to become more of an attacking threat.

6/10

Fer Lopez

Where Arias was brought in for his experience, Fer Lopez was signed with an eye towards the future.

His brief appearances have been exciting, and they probably merit a higher rating than we are giving him. But the Spaniard just hasn’t played enough. He likely proves this rating wrong when he gets into a proper rhythm.

6/10

David Moller Wolfe

It just hasn’t clicked for David Moller Wolfe. Ait-Nouri’s boots were always going to be difficult to fill, but Moller Wolfe’s profile suggested he would replicate some of what made the Algerian so vital for Wolves.

But it’s Hugo Bueno who has staked his claim for that spot, standing out as one of Wolves’ best performers this season and keeping the Norwegian on the outside looking in.

Jackson Tchatchoua

On the opposite flank, Jackson Tchatchoua has shown a bit more promise. He’s a physical specimen with mind-boggling speed, and he’s giving Adama Traore vibes bombing up and down the wing.

It has been difficult to settle in this Wolves defence with so much change to both formation and personnel, but the Cameroonian is exciting and he will come good.

6/10

Ladislav Krejci

It’s early days, but Ladislav Krejci looks like he could be the best signing of Pereira’s time at Wolves. His versatility was well-documented before he came to Molineux, but the way he has settled into life in England is impressive.

He has heaps of quality, a calm head at the back, and he has consistently performed well since making his debut. His Wolves Player of the Month award looks like being the first of many.

8/10

Tolu Arokodare

The Nigerian looks like being an able deputy to Jorgen Strand Larsen, but we’re yet to see the best of him. His only goal for Wolves so far was a delightful chip against Everton in the Carabao Cup, which suggests a cool head in front of goal.

But Tolu barely had a pre-season, so we’re staying neutral until we’ve seen a bit more of him.
