Wolves have been thrashed 6-2 by Chelsea at Molineux.
Wanderers were well and truly humbled at Molineux, and are now second-bottom of the Premier League table after two matches.
Noni Madueke hit a hat-trick for the visitors and was the star of the show, giving Rayan Ait-Nouri the runaround.
Wolves actually did well in the first-half. But it was a complete and utter capitulation in the second, with Chelsea looking like they could score with any attack.
As a result of Wolves’ devastating collapse, there was a very empty-looking Molineux for the closing stages.
The empty seats painted a stark picture. Fans are not happy at the moment, and there is one thing that should now be absolutely clear to Fosun after these first two Premier League defeats.
Fosun must sign a top new centre-back after Wolves’ thrashing by Chelsea and defeat to Arsenal

This was an absolute horror show for Wolves.
O’Neil has insisted on coming into the new season playing with a back four, but it is clear already that he just does not have the personnel for it.
Yerson Mosquera is a very promising player, but this was only his second Premier League appearance.
Toti Gomes has done well for Wolves on the whole since coming into the first-team, but he – like Max Kilman before him – is someone who is only comfortable in a back three.
Ait-Nouri was calamitous defensively against Chelsea, and is another player who does not seem to suit the four-at-the-back system.
Craig Dawson seems to be out of favour right now, but he simply must start the next game after this.
But the defeats to Arsenal and Chelsea must now force Fosun’s hand. They have to use the transfer market to sign a top centre-back.
Failure to act now could spell serious trouble this season
There is now less than one week remaining in the transfer window.
Bastien Meupiyou is reportedly coming in, but Wolves desperately need to sign a centre-back who has experience of playing in a top-flight. Someone who is fairly established, and preferably someone with international pedigree.
If O’Neil is going to persist with a back four – and many hope he will not after today – then he needs an experienced warrior at the back. Urgently.
Thankfully, it was indeed recently reported that Wolves intend to sign an older central defender. But this is now a matter of urgency.
Should Fosun fail to put their hands in their pocket now, then Wolves could seriously struggle this term, and there will be absolutely zero hope of European football next year.
