After Christmas Day, the Wolves squad returned to Compton on Boxing Day as they prepare for a tough test at Anfield against Liverpool.
The Old Gold will be hoping their fortunes have changed after the festive day. They are still in search of a first Premier League win this season.
For Rob Edwards, he could join an exclusive list of Wolves managers, one he will not want to be part of if he falls to defeat for the seventh game in a row.
Chris Sutton believes this type of game can suit Wolves, and we are inclined to agree in our three bold predictions for Saturday’s kick-off.

An Arsenal-esque performance
Wolves’ performance away from home against Arsenal was one of their best of the season.
They frustrated the top side of the Premier League and limited their chances throughout the 90 minutes. When they go to Anfield, we are expecting Wolves to do the same.
These backs-against-the-wall fixtures seem to suit the Old Gold quite well. The organisation at the back was excellent against the Gunners, but now the Wanderers will be without two of those central defenders vs Liverpool.
Wolves fans, tell us the defence you think Rob Edwards should choose to face Liverpool!
Toti is injured and Agbadou is away ❌
However, Matt Doherty’s brazen message after Wolves’ loss to Brentford will stick in the minds of the players, and they will produce a proud display.
Despite the changes to the defence, the Old Gold will make things difficult for the reigning Premier League champions.
Although Arne Slot is expecting Wolves to produce such a performance, he may end up making some tweaks to his tactics.
A Mateus Mane start

Mateus Mane has been a player on the minds of Wolves’ fans for weeks, and amid calls for him to start, that could finally happen.
After his assist vs Arsenal, it seemed he could have pushed to feature from the start against Brentford, but that was not the case.
Wolves’ head coach Rob Edwards has praised Mane in the build-up to the match, and that could bode well for his chances.
I challenge you to disagree with me – Mateus Mane should 100% START vs Liverpool 🤔
Rob Edwards has sang the Wolves youngster's praises again in his press conference 👀
If the Wanderers are going to have any joy against a side such as Liverpool, they will need a player who is brave enough to take a risk.
The 18-year-old could be that risk taker so desperately needed, and we are predicting him to start.

Wolves take the lead
It has not happened often this season, but we are boldly claiming Wolves will take the lead.
Liverpool have been slow starters for much of this season, falling behind in seven of their 17 matches this season. Additionally, when the Reds concede first, they typically do not win that game.
If Wolves, as we are predicting, can get ahead first, they can give themselves a real chance at coming away with a strong result.
In those seven games, Arne Slot’s side have only picked up one point after going behind.
And the Anfield atmosphere may not help either, with three of those seven coming at home as well.
