Wolves are looking to get off the mark in the Premier League after the international break, and one player has made a solid case to be starting for the first time this season.
Wolves are currently the only team in the league without a point so far.
Defeats to Manchester City, Bournemouth and Everton have cranked up the pressure already, and fans are expecting a big response.
But life is not going to get much easier, with Newcastle United up next for Wolves.
Trips to St. James’ Park can always be difficult, and many fans won’t expect too much.
But perhaps if Vitor Pereira starts Rodrigo Gomes there could be an outside chance of getting a positive result.

Rodrigo Gomes deserves to start for Wolves against Newcastle

£12.7 million signing (BBC Sport) Rodrigo Gomes has made a great start to the new season on a personal level.
Wolves have been a bit all over the place so far as a collective, but Rodrigo has caught the eye and chipped in with two goals so far, making him the joint-top scorer across all competitions with Jorgen Strand Larsen.
Rodrigo showed fantastic reactions to follow up Hwang Hee-chan’s missed penalty against West Ham United.
The South Korean struck the post with his effort, and was on the loose ball like a flash.
Then against Everton, Rodrigo came off the bench and – as he did against West Ham – scored by showing great anticipation.
He turned in David Moller Wolfe’s cross to the back post, nipping in after being second favourite.
As a result of his efforts so far, it is hard to argue against him making his first Premier League start at Newcastle.
Tchatchoua or Arias may face chop
If Fer Lopez is to start from the right side against Newcastle, and that is something he’d be very deserving of, then that may mean Rodrigo plays at right wing-back.
New signing Jackson Tchatchoua – who is the fastest player in the Premier League this season – has had some exciting glimpses so far.
But the Cameroon international didn’t really take his chance against Everton.

Given the goalscoring form Rodrigo is in, he may well be fielded in his place.
But it’s also very possible he could also be used higher up given his exploits in the final third so far.
If it’s a straight toss-up between Rodrigo and Lopez for that right number 10 role, then the Portuguese could just edge it.
