Jhon Arias to Wolves was signed, sealed and delivered on Thursday, with the Colombian becoming their second signing of the summer.
It’s been a frustrating transfer window for Wolves so far, but the capture of Jhon Arias from Fluminense on a four-year contract has eased some of their worries.
The 27-year-old joins the Old Gold after becoming one of the highest-rated players in Brazil. As such, even Cristiano Ronaldo wanted Arias to sign for Al-Nassr, though the Colombian turned down lucrative money in Saudi Arabia to join Wolves.
Arias couldn’t contain his excitement after making the switch to Wolverhampton, with Vitor Pereira and his teammates sharing a similar emotion.
Yerson Mosquera congratulated Arias on his move to Wolves on Thursday, and now, Andre has returned the favour with a heartwarming video.

Andre’s message to Jhon Arias suggests he’s staying at Wolves
During his time at Fluminense, Andre shared a pitch with Arias, and the pair built an incredible bond. Now, their connection can blossom even more at Wolves.
After completing his transfer, Andre recorded a video message to the new signing, welcoming him to his new surroundings.
“Hey, Arias, my friend. I’m here to welcome you,” the Brazilian maestro said. “I’m very happy and excited, it’s an immense joy to be able to play with you again.
“Everyone here welcomes you, you will get the best support, and you’ll get the warmest welcome. I’m sure you’ll shine brightly here, just as you did at Fluminense, okay? I wish you all the best, good luck, and may you have a long history at Wolves. We’re in this together!”
“Great Andre, he is my friend. I love him so much this guy. Thank you Andre!” Arias exclaimed in response to the above heartwarming words.
Wolves fans will be pleased with the message Andre left for Arias as he ended it with the words ‘we’re in this together’, which suggests he’s part of Pereira’s project for the long term.
Andre has drawn interest from Juventus after his exceptional debut campaign in the Premier League, so it will be refreshing to see his devotion towards the club.
Further, Wolves have said that Andre isn’t for sale under any circumstance, and it would take a mammoth bid for them to even consider it.

Andre and Arias can create brilliant partnership
Arias was mainly deployed as a right winger at Fluminense, and this suggests Pereira could use his new signing as a right-sided number 10.
The Colombian international possesses all the attributes to become an instant success in the Premier League, including his ability to keep the ball in tight spaces, his upper body strength and turn of pace.
Equally, he has the footballing intelligence to know when to press the opposition or remain in a rigid shape, something Andre got to grips with instantly.
As a deep-lying midfielder, the 24-year-old will be tasked with feeding the ball into Arias down the right channel, utilising his vision and passing range to unlock defences.
Arias will relish having someone of Andre’s quality firing balls into him after experiencing this during their time in Brazil.
