Adama Traore has been in and out of the starting XI this season for Wolves – but he surely has to start in the next match against Manchester United.

The Spaniard is still yet to get off the mark in terms of goals and assists this campaign.

But that doesn’t tell the whole story.

Traore has been superb in parts of the season, and is seriously unlucky to still be stuck on 0-0.

Next up for Wolves in the Premier League is a Manchester United side who are struggling under new interim manager Ralf Rangnick.

The Red Devils were poor in their win over Norwich City earlier this month.

And they were absolutely woeful at times against Newcastle United on Monday night.

It’s a good time to be playing them, and hopefully the Wolves players will be hell-bent on revenge after the last meeting between the two teams.

United ran out 1-0 winners at Molineux, despite Wolves playing some brilliant football and creating a plethora of chances.

One man who shone that day was Traore. The Express & Star gave him an 8/10 for his display, saying he was ‘too hot for United to handle in the first period – and Fred in particular. Was a continuous threat and, hopefully, goals will come for the Spaniard’.

With Hwang Hee-chan out injured for Wolves, Traore surely has to be starting in attack next Monday.

Bruno Lage has three wide players to chose from; Traore, Daniel Podence and Francisco Trincao.

The manager is quite the fan of Trincao, and has given the youngster a number of opportunities this season despite him not always playing so well.

With Podence having looked good in recent games, Traore is not nailed on to start against United, but he really ought to.

The former Barcelona starlet can take advantage of those United players who lack mobility, like Harry Maguire, Fred and Scott McTominay.

We have seen a number of times this season that they are far from the best pressing team.

It would perhaps be foolish for Lage to leave Traore out given the space he could have.
