Several talking points emerged from Wolves’ defeat to Arsenal on Saturday, including Jorgen Strand Larsen leaving the field.
Strand Larsen has started all but one Premier League game this term since joining on loan from Celta Vigo, and the Norwegian has been a revelation up top.
The 24-year-old has plundered seven goals in 23 league appearances, becoming Wolves’ second top scorer behind Matheus Cunha.
Vitor Pereira is reliant on his target man in the final third, with no other forward capable of bullying defenders physically and winning aerial duels.
So, when Strand Larsen suffered an injury against Arsenal in the 32nd minute and looked visibly upset when leaving the pitch, supporters feared the worst.
Luckily, Pereira eased those concerns by suggesting the injury didn’t look bad however, the Portuguese boss should still look at bolstering his forward line.

Wolves should join West Ham and Everton in race to sign Evan Ferguson
Pereira wants to sign two more players in this window, targeting another centre-back and a new midfielder.
Wolves have already seen two bids rejected for Kevin Danso, their primary defensive target from RC Lens, while Mario Lemina is wanted by Torino.
Those two positions are regarded as priorities but the Old Gold arguably need to add some firepower to their forward line, and that could come in the shape of Brighton forward Evan Ferguson.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Premier League rivals Everton, West Ham and Bournemouth are all considering a loan for the 20-year-old, with the Seagulls willing to let him leave.
Wolves should use the injury to Strand Larsen as an excuse to join the race for Ferguson, who is physically similar in stature to the Norwegian and also a clinical finisher.
The Republic of Ireland international is being touted with a loan exit having fallen down the pecking order at Brighton, with Fabian Hurzeler preferring Joao Pedro, Danny Welbeck and Georginio Rutter over him.
Having started just twice in the league this term and appeared off the bench 10 times, some will worry about his lack of game time but his previous exploits suggest he’d be a brilliant loan signing for Wolves.
Ferguson has been compared to England striker Harry Kane
Ferguson’s game time has been slashed this term but when he burst onto the scene in the 2022/23 campaign, his stock and value skyrocketed.
Brighton set a price tag of £100m on Ferguson to warn off the big clubs after he plundered six goals in nine starts in the first half of the 2023/24 season.
It was around this time when his clinical finishing, explosive power and footballing intelligence saw him receive comparisons to the great Harry Kane.
“I believe he could be at Harry Kane’s level. His stature, his ability. The thing that bowls me over the most about him is his attitude. How humble he is as a young man,” former striker Glenn Murray said via The Argus.
“You see a lot of lads burst onto the scene, they have the money, the glamour, everything gets the better of them.
“But this kid is focused on football, he wants to continue to get better and it’s a pleasure to watch him week in week out.
“He has got loads to learn in the game but his knowledge for such a young man is exceptional.”
While Ferguson’s stock has dropped dramatically since those comments were made, the 20-year-old can rediscover his scoring touch out on loan and Wolves should enter the race for him.
