Wolves’ summer signings have had to take time to adapt, and one of them may finally be starting to show his true quality.
Vitor Pereira’s side picked up their first point of the season in a 1-1 draw against Tottenham; however, their performance deserved a lot more.
The Wanderers prevented Spurs from creating anything of real value in the second half, but a late strike from Joao Palhinha ultimately sent the Old Gold home disappointed.
However, there were many positives to take. Sam Johnstone produced an unbelievable moment as he looks to become the first-choice goalkeeper.
Meanwhile, the performance of another man will no doubt be an exciting prospect for fans, after he has struggled throughout the start of the season.
Jhon Arias was excellent vs Tottenham
Jhon Arias signed for Wolves from Fluminense in the summer in a deal worth around £15 million, and since the season started, he has yet to really show how good he is.
The Colombian has struggled to make a real impact and has occasionally been benched following poor performances.
However, against Tottenham, Arias finally arrived and produced perhaps his best display in the Old Gold.
The winger completed more passes (51) than anyone else on the pitch and ended with the most chances created (3), including one big chance.

His well-delivered corner found the head of Ladislav Krejci, whose header made it difficult for Spurs to clear, resulting in a goal for Santiago Bueno.
Overall, Arias was extremely lively, and it is a promising sign for Pereira as he looks to turn the season around after five successive Premier League losses.
Jhon Arias can thrive in four-back system at Wolves
Jhon Arias will be one of the biggest beneficiaries from Vitor Pereira opting to use a four-man defence.
In the three-back formation, Arias is often deployed as a wide ten rather than as a winger, but in Pereira’s fresh four-back system, he is put out in his natural wide-right position.
The switch in setup has seemed to reinvigorate the 28-year-old and that is an encouraging sign for the future.
After his display vs Spurs, Arias must keep the same levels, and then all he will need to do is start adding goals and assists to his game.
He’ll hope to repeat his performance next Sunday when Wolves host Brighton at Molineux, where three points are much needed.
