The mood at Molineux is extremely positive right now, but one Wolves player may be starting to feel a little concerned.
Wolves recorded a sixth win in a row on Saturday against Leicester City, as their amazing form continued under Vitor Pereira.
The last time Wolves went on such a run was back in 1970, and fans can scarcely believe what they’re witnessing right now, considering how dire things were in late 2024.
Pereira has totally transformed the club in the space of just five months.
So many players have been flourishing under him.
But one player who does not fall into this category is Hwang Hee-chan, who may now be having some thoughts about his future.
Hwang overlooked in Wolves’ win over Leicester, despite six substitutes

Wolves are now safe, and so there are, in theory, more opportunities for fringe players to get minutes.
Pereira did hint recently that he’d change things up at Wolves in the remaining games.
But we haven’t seen too much chop and change since those remarks, and against Leicester, Hwang saw no minutes.
This will have been especially frustrating for the £14 million (BBC Sport) South Korean.
Because Wolves were actually able to make six substitutions against the Foxes, with Facundo Buonanotte going off for Leicester at half-time with a concussion.
When one team makes a free concussion substitute, the opposition also gets an extra.
But despite that, Hwang still didn’t get on for Wolves.
Pablo Sarabia, Rodrigo Gomes, Jean-Ricner Bellegarde, Goncalo Guedes and even Carlos Forbs – who’s barely played this season and will almost certainly head back to Ajax this summer after his loan – were the attacking players preferred, with Santiago Bueno also getting a few minutes at the end.
Hwang’s Wolves future could be in doubt
Hwang has gone from a really prominent figure at Wolves, to someone who now rarely plays.
He has not been helped again this season by injuries, but in recent weeks Pereira has overlooked Hwang several times.
His loss of top player status at Wolves now raises question marks about his future, with many clubs said to admire Hwang.

Data indicates Hwang has been an unused substitute six times now under Pereira, which will be a concern for the player.
It will be interesting to see what happens with him this summer, because although Pereira has spoken positively about Hwang, he just hasn’t been playing. And it is perhaps damning for him that Marshall Munetsi, a box-to-box midfielder by trade, has nailed down that inside right forward position.
We will see what transpires, but if Hwang wants to stick around next season, then he could do with a few statement performances in these final weeks.
