Wolves fans are still gutted about the fact Yerson Mosquera will not be playing for the team again this season.
Last month, the Colombia international went down against Aston Villa under a challenge from Morgan Rogers.
He had to be stretchered off, and fans knew that bad news was on the way. Sure enough, a few days later Wolves confirmed that Mosquera had sustained damage to his ACL and also his MCL.
The player underwent surgery earlier this week, and his long road to recovery will now commence.
It is a great shame for Mosquera, who is now dealing with his second serious injury since joining the club in 2021.
He’d be forgiven for being very downbeat at the moment.
But if his new Instagram message is anything to go boy, Mosquera is certainly taking his latest setback in his stride.
Mosquera sends upbeat message to Wolves fans after recent surgery

Earlier this week, Mosquera sent a brief message to Wolves fans after he had had his surgery.
Uploading a picture of himself in a hospital bed, Mosquera said: “I will be back strong.”
It has been a few days since that post and Mosquera has today checked in with Wolves supporters again. And it seems clear the 23-year-old is in positive spirits even despite the fact he cannot play for a long time.
He said: “Life puts you in difficult situations to test how strong you are. I know that it won’t be easy to live through a moment like this again, but I know I have everything I need to be able to achieve it. God, as well as the support and the necessary tools and the right people in my life. Perseverance.”
The philosophical Mosquera then signed off by saying ‘Enjoy the process, laughing is free’.
Mosquera is in good hands at Wolves
It’s good to see Mosquera is in high spirits despite his huge setback. Although there’s no doubt that, behind the scenes, this news was probably very hard for him to take.
Mosquera is in good hands at Wolves though.
He obviously has teammates who have been through similar injuries, like Sasa Kalajdzic, Chiquinho and Enso Gonzalez. Former Wolves defender Jonny Castro Otto also sustained two serious knee injuries during his time at Molineux.
Mario Lemina said everyone at Wolves will rally around Mosquera and the South American will undoubtedly be well supported in the coming months.
Since he’s been at the club, he has given the impression that he is a very positive person. He will no doubt work to get back as quickly as possible.
Mosquera has also been in a similar situation previously. Although his hamstring injury was not as severe as this knee injury, he was still out for a while and was able to get himself back in time. He’s kind of been there before, and can take heart from how that recovery went.
Mosquera has already been talking about getting back on the grass, and Wolves fans would love to hope he could perhaps return earlier than initially expected.
