Wolves fans will sadly not be seeing Yerson Mosquera for quite some time after he suffered a serious knee injury.
The Colombia international had been one of the bright sparks for Wolves in a season of struggle so far.
After impressing Gary O’Neil in pre-season following his return to the club from Villarreal, the star went straight into the starting XI at the start of the season.
After playing the first four games, Mosquera then started against Aston Villa, but was stretchered off towards the end after going down under a challenge from Morgan Rogers.
Days later, the club shared the worst possible news. Mosquera is out for the season with an ACL and MCL injury.
Mosquera’s injury left many Wolves fans simply devastated, after his bright start.
The player has only just undergone surgery, and he has sent a message of defiance to fans.
Yerson Mosquera ‘will be back strong’ for Wolves

Yesterday afternoon, Mosquera took to his Instagram Story to update fans on his situation.
The 23-year-old had been set for an operation following his awful setback against Villa, and it seems the surgery has now taken place.
Mosquera uploaded a picture of himself in his hospital bed yesterday looking fairly cheerful.
He included the caption ‘I will be back strong’, with a customary wolf emoji and a heart.

Many fans have wished Mosquera well since he suffered his injury, as have some players.
Former Wolves winger Adama Traore was among those to show his support for Mosquera, writing ‘Let’s go mi brother’. The pair were fairly close when Traore was still at the club
Wolves losing Mosquera to injury is a hammer blow
So Mosquera will now begin the long road to recovery, with Wolves fans only set to see him playing again next season.
It is a great shame he is out for this long, especially since he missed so much football shortly after joining when he picked up that serious hamstring injury.
He will need a lot of support during this tough period, and encouragingly Mario Lemina has already said Wolves will rally around Mosquera.
Not only is this a big blow for Mosquera, but it’s obviously far from ideal for Wolves.
Wolves were already short at centre-back, after failing to sign a replacement for Max Kilman. But now, O’Neil has just three senior options.
Young Bastien Meupiyou has been spotted back in Wolves training after doing rehab for an injury following his arrival from Nantes. But he will need a fair bit of time to ready himself for first-team football.
