Fabio Silva is back from his season of loan-moves and it keen to impress his new boss ahead of the season’s kick-off.
The player who joined Wolves from Porto for big money in 2020, had spent last season on loan at two different clubs.
He joined Anderlecht in July 2022 where he scored seven and added one assist in 20 games.
Then in January 2023 he made the move back to Wolves before being sent to PSV Eindhoven a day later.
Here he scored four in 14 while again contributing a solitary assist in his 14 games.
Wolves will have taken some benefits from this however he will know he needs to do a lot more work to get into the Old Gold side.

Silva ready to ‘give everything’
Speaking to the Official Wolves website, Silva spoke on his return and insisted he will give his all for the club.
He said: “Whenever I’m playing, whether that’s for Wolves, or when I was at PSV or Anderlecht, I always give my best and I try to help the team. That’s what I did here today.
“As long as I’m here I’ll give everything, I’ll do my best to help the team and that will always be the key to continuing to develop and be better.”
Silva also highlighted Julen Lopetegui as something he is excited about, and keen to impress.
“I try to focus on the game and learning from the coaching staff. [Lopetegui] is a new coach for me, so I will try to absorb what he wants and give my best.”
Will he play this season?
Silva has long been a ‘what if’ story in recent years, arriving for £35.6million nearly three years ago.
He was tipped to have the world at his feet with his record fee being thought to be a bargain given his high potential.
Since then however clearly struggling with English football he has scored four with six assists in 62 games for Wolves.
An appalling return for a player so talented who has shown an eye for goal elsewhere in his career.
It is hard to see him playing ahead of any Wolves forward, but at just 21-years-old if he realises his potential he absolutely could.
