Wolves warned Man Utd star who’s been out for over two months could return in time for league meeting

Wolves’ next Premier League game after this weekend’s home clash against Spurs will see the side travel to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United.

The Old Gold are preparing to welcome Ange Postecoglou’s under-pressure Spurs to Molineux before turning their attention to next Sunday’s match at the Theatre of Dreams.

Although Vitor Pereira has turned Wolves around with the side now on the cusp of mathematically guaranteeing their safety, the temptation to beat the Red Devils is always there.

After Manchester United dropped a fresh injury update, the Wolves manager must plan to face Amad and guard against the threat the young Ivorian poses.

Man United provide injury update on Amad ahead of Wolves game

Amad suffered an ankle ligament injury during Manchester United’s 2-1 FA Cup fourth-round victory over Leicester City at the start of February.

The 22-year-old has not featured since amid fears he will be sidelined for the remainder of the season.

There is hope Amad can return sooner though after Manchester United released images of the winger training as he steps up his recovery.

The Red Devils’ social media team added: “A sight that will brighten your Wednesday”.

Rayan Ait-Nouri must take note

Although it is not guaranteed Amad will line up against Wolves in 10 days’ time, Rayan Ait-Nouri must prepare for the game with the forward’s potential return in mind.

Manchester United’s energetic number 16 mostly operates on the right flank, meaning Ait-Nouri, with the help of the covering Marshall Munetsi, will be responsible for nullifying his threat.

Along with Bruno Fernandes, Amad has been the Red Devils’ brightest spark this season. His injury setback came at the worst possible time.

The young African has faced Wolves twice throughout his career but has yet to score against them.
