Wolves have been credited with an interest in West Ham United star Said Benrahma.
Benrahma has been with the Hammers since January 2021, when he joined the club from Brentford for around £20 million plus add-ons.
The Algeria international has made 154 appearances for the Irons, scoring 24 goals and making 19 assists.
This term, he has struggled a little for regular minutes, particularly in recent weeks. Benrahma did start the season in favour under David Moyes, but has started just two of the last nine games in the Premier League.
The star has now entered into the final 18 months of his contract, and there is speculation about possible interest from Wolves…
Wolves eyeing West Ham United attacker Said Benrahma, after wide forward claims

As reported today by Foot Mercato, Wolves are said to be convinced by Benrahma’s qualities. But there is also interest from Fulham in the 28-year-old.
The reason French publication Foot Mercato report on interest in Benrahma is because Lyon are also keen on the player, and have actually made a contract offer to the player.
Apparently, they have a pressing need for a forward, with the suggestion being that their wide attackers have not delivered this season.
It was reported recently that while Gary O’Neil will prioritise a new central striker for Wolves, he could also target a wide forward this month.
£55,000-a-week star Benrahma tends to favour playing on the left, but is no stranger to playing as a number 10.
West Ham surely wouldn’t want to help Wolves
West Ham have apparently opened the door for Benrahma to leave this month, but it’s hard to see the club wanting to do business with Wolves.
This time last year, they sold Craig Dawson to Wanderers and, while it hasn’t really weakened them too much, that transfer most definitely benefitted Wolves.
Dawson has made Wolves a better side, and the Hammers may be a bit about allowing another player to head to Molineux.
Benrahma is a talent – previously, former West Ham midfielder Declan Rice described him as ‘an unbelievable player’, and potentially he would add some creativity to the Wolves team.
But this feels like something Wolves would struggle to get done, especially with money still a bit tight at the moment.
