Wolves transfer news: Pedrinho could now move back to Brazil

Wolves could potentially miss out on a move for Pedrinho this summer, with the player now wanted by Atletico Mineiro.

According to a report from Goal Brasil, the 24-year-old is a loan target for the South American outfit.

Atletico are said to be keen to sign another forward, after already closing a deal for Cristian Pavon.

Pedrinho has not played any football since February, due to football in Ukraine being suspended as a result of Russia’s invasion.

It is thought that there was a proposal from Wolves.

It was reported back in April that Wolves had advanced talks to sign Pedrinho, before making an offer.

Corinthians and Sao Paulo have also attempted to sign him since football halted in Ukraine.

Before the suspension, Pedrinho – who can play out wide or as a central attacking midfielder – had made 18 appearances, scoring four goals scored and making three assists.

Wolves may need to hurry if they want Pedrinho as report suggests possible Brazil move

Time could be of the essence with Pedrinho.

That is slightly worrying because Wolves don’t tend to do business particularly quickly.

Ideally, Wolves would get a deal done for him early.

But it would be no surprise if the club waited to offload Adama Traore first before making their move.

The Spaniard won’t sign a new deal at Molineux, and is likely to be offloaded in this window so that the club can at least get a bit of money for him.

The club may also wait to see what happens with francisco Trincao. The indications for a while have been the the club don’t want to sign him permanently.

But The Athletic reported this morning that it’s still possible he could stay at Molineux.
