Bristol City manager Nigel Pearson has said the club would be looking for a fee in excess on £25 million for Wolves target Alex Scott.
The teenager is understood to be a transfer target for Wanderers.
The club held talks with the Robins in January, but nothing materialised due to the asking price.
City supposedly wanted £25 million to sell Scott then.
Since the end of the mid-season window, Scott has continued to shine in the Championship.
And he recently caught the eye in the FA Cup clash with Manchester City. After the game, Pep Guardiola called him unbelievable, and Jack Grealish also branded him a ‘top, top talent’.
Scott is expected to have many clubs trying to sign him in the summer.
And Bristol City manager Pearson has been speaking about the youngster’s future. He says the club will be looking to bring in more than £25 million.
He said (via Bristol Post): “It wouldn’t surprise me that clubs are interested in him but there have been no bids. Whoever makes a proper bid at some point, will have to be a really big bid to get him.
“He has to be more than £25m, he shouldn’t go for less than that. Since he made his debut, he’s played upmost of 80 games for us. Some people talk about playing in a second season you can get a drop-off but I don’t think we have seen that at all.”
Pearson also denied that any bids have already come in for Scott.
Wolves seriously have their work cut out to sign Alex Scott this summer, as Nigel Pearson shares £25 million asking price
Wolves are going to have a very hard time signing Scott this summer.
Many clubs are already eyeing him, and it’s only going to mean his price shoots up.
If Wolves lose Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho, it’s possible a move for Scott would become more likely.
Neves would bring in a good fee, and there would be more chance of regular minutes for Scott if both of the Portuguese maestros left.
