Wolves told they have a player who is just ‘absolutely sensational’, but he could leave

There are a lot of talented players on the books at Wolves at the moment, but Scott Minto believes one man at Molineux is ‘absolutely sensational’.

Gary O’Neil is seeking to build on last season in 2024/25, after a disappointing end.

Wolves finished 14th in the Premier League and crashed out of the FA Cup against Coventry City.

Injuries really impacted the squad, and there are also a string of controversial VAR decisions that went against Wanderers.

Key to Wolves improving in this coming season could be keeping hold of quality players.

One man whose future hands in the balance is Pedro Neto – who is a player Scott Minto raved about yesterday on talkSPORT.

Last season, Neto lit up the Premier League when he played.

The 24-year-old was devastating, especially in the first half of the season and at one point, he led the Premier League assists chart.

But sadly for Neto, his campaign was again interrupted by injury.

He suffered the first of two serious hamstring injuries against Newcastle United, and he was then on the sidelines for around two months.

Neto returned and looked lively again, but his spell in the team would be short-lived. Against Fulham in March, he suffered another hamstring injury and was out until the very last day of the season.

Injury-prone Neto was briefly mentioned on talkSPORT yesterday by Scott Minto, who said: “Pedro Neto has been linked to clubs, but he struggles with injuries. And yet when he plays, I think he is absolutely sensational.”

Neto is amazing and injury record is a shame

It is a pleasure to watch Neto in full flow in a Wolves shirt.

The star, when he is on top form, is such a dangerous player and surely one of the best players outside the traditional ‘Big Six’ clubs.

It is a real shame he has struggled as much with injuries as he has though.

£50,000-a-week ace Neto could yet leave Molineux this summer, with Wanderers reportedly holding out for around £60 million to sell.

It is going to be really interesting to see if a club goes near that valuation. There have already been reports of some clubs, like Newcastle United and Arsenal, having some concerns about the injury record.
