Wolves received a couple of red cards on Saturday in the 4-2 defeat to Leeds United – and one of the club’s reported transfer targets Leandro Paredes was also sent off, just 15 minutes after coming on as a substitute.
Wanderers played out an incident-packed match at Molineux against the Whites.
There is still a feeling of frustration amongst fans today with some of the decisions.
Wolves felt they should have had a penalty for a challenge by Junior Firpo on Nelson Semedo.
And Leeds’ fourth goal was controversial, as Adama Traore had his shirt pulled in the build up.
The fury that prompted resulted in Matheus Nunes, who was an unused substitute in the game, getting sent off.
Before that, Jonny Castro Otto also received a red card for a poor challenge on Luke Ayling.
To continue the theme, over in Serie A Paredes – who Wolves could move for to replace Ruben Neves this summer (Calciomercato) – was also dismissed.
Juve were taking on Inter and a fracas broke out on the full-time whistle.
It was a tense and fiery derby, and Paredes and Danilo D’Ambrosio had apparently provoked each other before an attacking throw in for Juve.
Prior to his sending off, Paredes had already picked up a yellow card for time-wasting.
According to Football Italia, Juve manager Max Allegri stormed down the tunnel as things were unfolding.
Wolves may be best steering clear of Leandro Paredes, as star gets sent off for Juventus
So just days after Wolves are linked with a move for Paredes, he goes and gets sent off for Juventus.
If he is genuinely a target, things like this are unlikely to impress Wolves.
Paredes didn’t need to get involved in any kind of altercation, with Juve winning the game.
It just creates concern about him in terms of Wolves potentially signing him.
It has already been suggested that he hasn’t hard to best of seasons with Juve.
Wolves don’t need to be signing players who have the potential to get involved in silly things.
