Matheus Cunha was involved in an altercation at full-time of Wolves defeat against Ipswich Town on Saturday.
Wolves finally sacked manager Gary O’Neil after his side were beaten by a stoppage-time winner from Ipswich midfielder Jack Taylor.
The 41-year-old can have no complaints about being sacked after four straight defeats, only two wins since April and 40 goals conceded in 16 matches this term.
Portuguese boss Vitor Pereira is set to replace O’Neil at Molineux, as his contract till 2026 is on the verge of being finalised and announced.
However, Pereira could be without star forward Matheus Cunha after the FA responded to his bust-up at full-time on Saturday.

Matheus Cunha charged by the FA after his actions vs Ipswich Town
At full-time of their loss against Ipswich, tempers flared after another awful performance from the Old Gold.
In a similar scene against West Ham where Mario Lemina was involved in a brawl, the Wolves players once again lost their heads.
Rayan Ait-Nouri was also sent off after a scuffle with video footage emerging of Craig Dawson dragging the Algerian away from the action.
Forward Cunha was also seen hitting an Ipswich staff member in the face, which caused his glasses to fall off.
The Brazilian, who scored his eighth goal of the season on Saturday, completely acted out of character at full-time and lost his head.
Unfortunately for the incoming Pereira and everyone associated with Wolves, Cunha now faces a ban after being charged by the FA on Tuesday.
The statement reads: “Matheus Cunha has been charged with misconduct following the Premier League match between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Ipswich Town on Saturday, 14 December.
“The forward allegedly acted in an improper manner after the final whistle. He has until Thursday, 19 December, to provide a response.”
What games could Cunha miss for Wolves?
The length of the ban won’t be confirmed till the end of the week but Cunha could face up to three matches out if the footage was deemed as ‘violent’ conduct.
Considering he was seen slapping an Ipswich staff member in the face, the 25-year-old will be lucky to get away with anything less, meaning he could miss the clashes against Leicester, Manchester United and Tottenham.

Cunha being out of action during the Christmas period also deals Wolves’ chances of survival a huge blow as he’s so influential to the Old Gold.

Alongside the towering Jorgen Strand Larsen, the Brazilian superstar has plundered eight goals and supplied three assists in 16 matches this term.
Cunha is at the heart of everything positive Wolves do in attack and not having him available for the next few games could see them get cut further adrift of safety.
