Wolves’ summer transfer plans revealed as club acquires ‘fantastic’ youngster

A big summer is upon Wolves. After the work Gary O’Neil has done this season, the club have a chance to improve further in the upcoming window. 

One area often cited for needed improvement is up top. Wolves have struggled to since Matheus Cunha’s injury with this highly evident in their 3-2 defeat to Coventry. 

However, it now looks as if the club will target a defender in the summer after a series of mistakes from Wolves backline.

Joao Gomes to Man United?

One man who has been highly impressive this season is Joao Gomes. The Brazilian has quickly settled into life in the UK since moving to Wolves in January 2023.

His performances have only seemed to improve as the season has gone on with the midfielder scoring two memorable goals in the 2-1 victory against Spurs.

As a result, teams have now taken notice with Man United believed to be interested in buying Joao Gomes.

Wolves acquire new talent

On a more positive note, Wolves have now added to their upcoming collection of talents. Wolves’ academy has already seen multiple players become first-teamers this season. 

Nathan Fraser is just one academy product who has shone so far this season. Now, Wolves have brought in a young starlet from non-league Rochdale.

Matheus Mane has joined the Molineux side as Wolves continue to expand their academy and unlock the potential of more youngsters.
