Bruno Lage has chosen his Wolves XI to face Crewe this afternoon.
It’s Wolves’ first pre-season friendly of the summer and the first chance for us to get a glimpse of his ideas.
Crewe represent a decent but very beatable opponent. They played in League 1 last season, finishing 11th.
The big news is that Raul Jimenez is back in the side from the start, having been absent since November 2020.
Subs: Moulden, Sondergaard, Marques, Scott, Estrada, Lonwijk, Bueno, Otasowie, Saiss, Cundle, Dadashov, Samuels, Campbell, Cutrone.
Streaming details
According to the club website, the game will be available globally for supporters for the price of £4.99.
Fans can also choose to watch on either Wolves TV, via the website or Wolves App, or for the first time ever as part of a Paid Online Event on Wolves’ official Facebook page.
Purchasers will only be able to view the live stream through the platform they purchased on – if supporters purchase via WolvesTV they will have access to the WolvesTV stream but not Facebook feed and vice versa.
Supporters are also able to purchase a bundle package for all six pre-season matches for a discounted total of £24.99, exclusively through WolvesTV.

Fan reaction to Wolves team v Crewe
We don’t really know yet whether Lage’s team selection is dictated by his tactical preferences or just the options he has available and who’s further down the line in terms of fitness.
He is of course waiting for some of his top players to get back from their breaks following the end of Euro 2020.
It looks like he’s starting with a 3-4-1-2 formation, which is has academy graduates Taylor Perry and Morgan Gibbs-White paired together in midfield.
Some Wolves supporters had their say on social media and hoped that it would be more of a 4-4-2, with Rayan Ait-Nouri on the left of midfield:
