Wolves stars send messages to Adama Traore as star officially joins Barcelona on loan

A number of Wolves stars have sent messages to Adama Traore, after the forward officially completed his move to Barcelona yesterday.

The Spain international is back where it all began for him, and is hoping to help Barca move up the table with the club having had a poor start.

It had looked as though Traore would move to Tottenham Hotspur this month.

But Traore reportedly had reservations about potentially playing as a wing-back under Antonio Conte.

Traore will spent the rest of the season at the Nou Camp, and then Barca will have to decide whether to buy him or not.

The purchase option they have negotiated with Wolves is £29 million according to Sky Sports.

Traore departs Molineux having signed for the club back in 2018 from Middlesbrough.

He made 154 appearances for the club, scoring 11 goals and making 18 assists.

Traore drew criticism at times for lacking an end product. But he also often left supporters spellbound with his unbelievable pace and dribbling ability.

For may, Traore is one of, if not the most exciting player ever to grace Molineux.

He will definitely be missed by most, and he was clearly a really popular member of the squad seeing all the messages from the Wolves players.

Conor Coady and John Ruddy led the tributes.

There were also comments from Ruben Neves, Yerson Mosquera and Ki-Jana Hoever.

Wolves will be fine, but Traore will be missed all the same

Traore’s move to Barcelona is bittersweet.

He did not post amazing numbers during his time in a Wolves shirt.

But one thing he never failed to do was entertain the crowd. There are few players in world football more watchable than Traore.

It’s a real shame to see a player capable of such destruction leave. But it was his dream to return to Barca and most fans won’t begrudge him that.

He’ll be missed, but Wolves will be fine without him. Pedro Neto returns next month, and Hwang Hee-chan has looked very promising so far in English football.
