Wolverhampton Wanderers’ search for a new manager is on, after Nuno Espirito Santo took his final game yesterday.

The 47-year-old leaves Molineux after four tremendous years.

News that Nuno would be departing only came on Friday, and one or two still can’t quite believe he is moving on.

What he’s achieved at Molineux undoubtedly makes him one of the club’s all-time great managers, and there are now huge shoes to fill for the new man coming in.

There were emotional scenes yesterday from the moment Nuno stepped off the team coach.

 

Throughout the game fans chanted his name.

The 4,500 fans in attendance sounded more like 45,000, and the emotion etched on Nuno’s face spoke volumes.

Wolves fans shown their love, as did the players, who have been busy on social media since the end of yesterday’s game.

Several have thanked Nuno for all he has done, and it is clear how respected he was in the dressing room.
