Yerson Mosquera got his first minutes for FC Cincinnati at the weekend, after joining the club on loan from Wolves.
The central defender is looking to get regular minutes in the US, having endured a fairly miserable 18 months back at Molineux since his arrival.

Mosquera sustained two hamstring injuries in his first season for Wolves. The second one occurred just 10 minutes into his competitive debut. He required surgery, and did not play for the first-team again that term.
In 2022/23, Mosquera was firmly rooted to the Wolves bench.
He got stripped and was ready to go on against Manchester City earlier this season at Molineux.

But in the end he never actually got on, and last month it was decided he would embark on a new challenge.
Mosquera joined Cincinnati on loan, and he could extend his stay with the club into next season.
Wolves officials are hoping Mosquera can now build some momentum. They also want him to return to Molineux fluent in English.
On Saturday night, Mosquera made his debut for Cincinnati, featuring on the left of a back three against Houston Dynamo.
Cincinnati ran out 2-1 winners, with Mosquera getting 73 minutes under his belt.
Sofascore data indicates he completed 30/39 (77%) passes. He won 7/10 duels, and made two clearances, one tackle and two interceptions.
Game time the biggest thing for Yerson Mosquera at FC Cincinnati
Mosquera was very unfortunate with his injury problems at Wolves.
He looked absolutely fantastic in his first pre-season after joining from Atletico Nacional.
It is a real shame it hasn’t happened for him yet back at Molineux. But this is now a good chance for him to just play football again.

He needs to be playing regularly and building momentum, ready for his return to Wolves.
His aim should be the become the best player in Cincinnati’s team, and show Wolves he has a role to play in the first-team in the near future.
