Wolves star slammed for Burnley display

It was another game without a win for Wolves as they had to settle for a draw at Turf Moor. Rayan Ait-Nouri managed to cancel out Jacob Bruun Larsen’s opener but the visitors could not find a winner.

Availability within the first team is a major issue. Injuries have stacked up with Matheus Cunha only just coming back from a long-term injury.

However, against Burnley, many of the fit first-teamers didn’t step up including Pablo Sarabia. The winger was slammed for his performance with the Express and Star claiming that he ‘went missing’ in the fixture.

Alongside the poor performance at Burnley, Wolves could be burdened with another issue. Wingback Semedo picked up his ninth yellow card of the season at Turf Moor which puts him in contention of a two-match ban.

In the Premier League, if you pick up 10 yellow cards before matchday 33 you will have to force a two-match ban.

With West Ham up next, Semedo will be walking on eggshells if he is to avoid this fate.

The state of the squad looks bleak at the moment at Wolves. With the injuries piling up for O’Neil, few players are available for selection at Molineux

This has seen multiple academy graduates thrown into the squad including Leon Chiwome who has started the last two games.

Unfortunately, the 18-year-old has struggled to make an impact and is therefore suffering due to the squad shortage. Journalist Nathan Judah described the situation as ‘sad’ as multiple options are being tried upfront.
