Wolves captain Max Kilman has revealed Pedro Neto has told him that he is ‘ahead of schedule’ with his recovery from a hamstring injury.
Wolves fans watched in horror a few weeks ago as Neto pulled up just as he was about to take a shot during the 2-2 draw with Newcastle United.
The winger was treated for several minutes, before he worryingly left the field on a stretcher.
Wolves fans were nervous, considering hamstring injuries have the potential to mean months on the sidelines.
But Neto did quickly move to allay fears about the severity of the injury and recently, he shared that his recovery has been going well.
Now, Max Kilman has revealed what Neto has told him about his recovery…
Max Kilman gives update on Pedro Neto as winger eyes comeback from injury

This morning, Kilman did a short interview on talkSPORT and was asked about Neto and how he has been getting on.
The captain said: “I’m hoping he’s back soon. Everyone at this club hopes he’s back soon because he’s a massive player and you can see how he’s been kicking on this season. I think he’s still the top assistor in the league.
“We want him back as soon as possible, he’s progressing really well. I spoke to him the other week, he’s ahead of schedule so hopefully he’ll be back as soon as possible.”
Wolves are in action against Fulham next Monday which is a game that potentially comes too soon for Neto, but the club then face Arsenal on December 2 and Gary O’Neil would love to have the Portuguese winger available.
That could be a very tough game against a side pushing for the Premier League title, and Neto playing would be a huge boost for Wolves.
Pedro Neto return will be huge for Wolves
It sounds as though Wolves are going to have Neto back for the bulk of the festive period which is really good news, and a big relief after seeing him go off on a stretcher.
He has been ‘outstanding’ so far this season in the eyes of legend John Richards and many supporters, and he obviously makes Wolves a far more threatening outfit when he plays with his turn of pace, dribbling and directness.
Wolves have actually managed fairly OK without him so far. The defeat against Sheffield United was very unlucky in the end because of that penalty decision, and then of course Wolves fought back against Tottenham Hotspur to win 2-1.
That said, Wolves are a much better side when Neto is starting, so hopefully his recovery can continue to go well. To have him fit to face Arsenal would be absolutely fantastic.
