Wolves star sends scathing message on Instagram after Fulham 3-2 Wolves

Wolves fell to a 3-2 defeat to Fulham last night – and Mario Lemina sent a scathing message after the game after VAR stung Gary O’Neil’s side once again.

Wanderers came away from Craven Cottage with no points, having twice got back on level terms.

Wolves showed good character, but in the end it was the same old story with VAR failing to reach the right decisions.

Fulham were awarded one penalty that should never have been, and then another right at the end of the game which was extremely harsh.

The hosts should also have had two players sent off in Tim Ream and Carlos Vinicius.

Everybody connected with Wolves is now completely and utterly fed up with VAR and the PGMOL, with the club missing out on crucial points on a regular basis.

After the game, midfielder Mario Lemina summed things up with a strong message on his Instagram account…

Fans are continually being left furious by VAR, and it is exactly the same feeling for the players.

They are working very hard in the work to prepare for these games, only to be done over time and time again.

It must be extraordinarily frustrating, and £45,000-a-week star Lemina gave a pretty fiery message last night after the game. He said: “I’ve always tried to understand that to be a referee is not easy at all. I’ve always tried to say to the players that we could do better during the game to win it. But now I give up. Enough is enough. Some strong decisions need to be taken. These things are ruining football.”

After the game last night, Gary O’Neil gave a very measured interview to Sky Sports considering as many as four decisions went against his side.

You could tell that he was extremely angry, but he spoke calmly and honestly about the situation, and that has earned him even more fans. But he of course won’t care one jot about that – all he and everyone connected with Wolves wants is for a bit of competence and fairness.

Wolves’ incredible relationship with VAR run continues

At this point, Wolves fans are just sick and tired of VAR and the ineptitude of the officials who run it.

It seems that it just doesn’t matter who is operating it, the end result is always the same.

Wolves have 15 points from 13 Premier League games but that tally should easily be in the 20s and the club should be looking to the European places.

The club’s season has been absolutely ruined and Lemina’s right, some strong decisions need to be taken.

Gary O’Neil recently suggested that he felt ‘confident’ VAR and officiating standards would improve after a chat with PGMOL chief Howard Webb. He will no doubt be feeling extremely let down and perhaps even foolish he said that now, given this latest episode.
