Wolverhampton Wanderers winger will miss the remainder of 2020/21 after sustaining serious damage to his knee.
The forward has cruelly seen his season cut short after suffering significant damage to his patella.
Wolves say Neto will undergo surgery later this week.

He won’t play again this season in old gold, and an earlier report from Jornal de Noticias has claimed he will miss the European Championships for Portugal.
It’s hammer blow for Neto, who had played his way into Fernando Santo’s squad over the past couple of international breaks.

Wolves should be OK without Neto until the end of the season, with relegation no longer a worry after the win against Fulham.
No timescale has been placed on a potential return to action at this stage by the club, but Jornal’s report has said the worst-case scenario could be six months out.

The blow comes just days after wing-back Jonny Castro Otto suffered a second ACL injury in six months.
Neto has taken to Instagram in the wake of his setback, writing: “Another obstacle that appears and that I will overcome as I did with every other.
“Difficult months to come, away from the place I like the most, but I will recover the best way to return stronger than ever… that’s guaranteed. Thank you all for the messages.”
The post has had hundreds of comments from fans wishing him well, and plenty of players too.
Nelson Semedo, Morgan Gibbs-White, Fabio Silva and Ruben Neves all commented, as did £60 million Manchester City star Joao Cancelo (BBC Sport), who wrote (translated): “Force my kid, you’ll come back even stronger.”
