Gary O’Neil will have everything crossed that his international players all return to Molineux next week in good condition.
Wolves have nine players in action for their countries, plus Rodrigo Gomes and Carlos Forbs who are on U21 duty with Portugal.
Somehow, Wolves’ man of the moment Matheus Cunha did not get called up for Brazil this time, and neither did Joao Gomes who has been improving in recent weeks.
One man who did get called up though is Santiago Bueno.
Bueno has gotten more minutes since the injury to Yerson Mosquera and the South American has turned out to be a positive from that situation.
He’s with the Uruguay squad at the moment, but a slightly concerning update on him has emerged this afternoon.
Santiago Bueno nursing muscle injury and could miss Uruguay game v Colombia

Bueno has now started Wolves’ last four Premier League games, featuring on the right of a back three.
The 26-year-old has given a good account of himself in recent weeks, and looks to be more at home in English football now after a shaky first season.
Dan McNamara hailed Bueno as ‘outstanding’ in the draw with Brighton, and many fans have been enjoying his improvement of late.
Bueno was recently called up to the Uruguay squad by Marcelo Bielsa, with World Cup qualifiers coming up against Colombia and Brazil.
But Bueno is said to be carrying a muscle strain injury at the moment, and is in doubt to face Colombia tomorrow night according to Sport 890.
He is not completely ruled out. But seemingly, the Wolves defender will be assessed late in the day ahead of the game.
Journalist Liam Keen said on the latest E&S podcast that it is ‘a bit of a groin issue’ for Bueno.
A worry for Wolves
The Wolves medical staff will no doubt be in very close contact with their Uruguayan counterparts regarding Bueno’s injury.
The absolute last thing Wolves need at this moment in time is to lose another centre-back, after already losing Mosquera for the whole season.
Wolves are in a very precarious position due to not signing an additional centre-back in the summer, so it doesn’t bear thinking about one of Bueno, Craig Dawson or Toti Gomes being unavailable for any period of time.
Wolves need to make it extremely clear to Uruguay that no unnecessary risk should be taken with Bueno given how badly they need him.
The concern for Wolves is that Bielsa will really want to play Bueno as the game with Clomobia is a World Cup qualifier.
Currently, Uruguay are third in qualifying on 16 points. The top six teams automatically qualify for the finals, with Paraguay currently sat in sixth on 13 points. Bolivia are one point behind them in seventh.
