Wolves star gets majority vote as squad select the ‘most underrated’ player at Molineux

Wolves had some terrific talent in their squad last season, some being world-beaters and some being underrated.

It was always suggested that Wolves would escape relegation due to the quality within the squad

With the likes of Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri on board, things were always going to happen at some point in a match, but now, Vitor Pereira must identify replacements for the pair.

Aside from having players who were always in the spotlight, Pereira has also benefited from those who regularly fall under the radar, a topic that the Wolves squad recently discussed.

Toti voted the most underrated player by his Wolves teammates

After Wolves’ new away kit was unveiled, the squad took part in some media work for the club’s social media channels.

In a video posted on X, a handful of players were asked to name the most underrated player at Wolves, and one figure won the majority of the vote.

Four Wolves players voted for Toti Gomes when asked the question.

Toti has been described as underrated in the past, and it’s a title that his teammates believe he still holds, despite a superb season in Old Gold.

The Portuguese defender is often overlooked when it comes to his contribution to the back five, but when he’s not there, his absence is felt.

Pereira could axe the narrative that the centre-back is underrated, however, as Toti is a candidate to become Wolves captain

Andre also gets a shout-out

There won’t be any complaints regarding Toti winning the majority of the vote as Wolves’ most underrated player, but he wasn’t the only one nominated.

In second place, with two votes, came 2024 signing Andre, who was spoken highly of by Rodrigo Gomes and Emmanuel Agbadou.

“Andre is amazing,” Gomes said, as Agbadou pondered why people don’t talk about the Brazilian more.

“Andre, they don’t talk a lot about Andre, but he’s a very, very, very good player. He’s very smart. I like this player.”

Matt Doherty shouted out Hwang, while Jorgen Strand Larsen brought Santi Bueno into the discussion.
