Wolves star Hwang Hee-chan has again shown that he is not just a top footballer – he is a brilliant human being too.
The 27-year-old has enjoyed the season of his life so far this season, scoring seven goals across all competitions for Wolves.
He has been in amazing form, and has responded extremely well to Gary O’Neil replacing Julen Lopetegui just days before the new season.
He and Pedro Neto have been the standout performers so far for Wanderers, and fans were delighted last week to read reports the South Korean could now be set to sign a new deal at Molineux.
Hwang, whom O’Neil recently branded ‘excellent’, is a very popular figure at Wolves, but he is also adored back in his homeland – and a journalist has now shared one thing he’s been doing in recent times that further highlights why he’s so loved…
Hwang Hee-chan donates £30,000 to underprivileged people in Bucheon City… again
According to South Korean journalist Sungmo Lee, Hwang recently made a £30,000 donation to the people of Bucheon City, which is located between Incheon and the capital Seoul.
This is amazing in itself, but Lee reports that this was actually the fourth time Hwang has donated £30,000 to the underprivileged people of the city. He has been donating every year since 2020.
This comes after it was reported that Hwang invited South Korean families to Wolves’ recent match with Manchester City. He also met with those families after the game, in which he scored the winner.
Hwang has also been reported to speak with South Korean journalists and reporters after most Wolves games if they are present, regardless of whether he has played or not, which is something that is practically unheard of.
Previously, Hwang was said to be the only Wolves player who stayed behind in the rain to sign autographs and take pictures after the drab draw with Luton Town at Molineux in pre-season.
Hwang is a class act

This is just further evidence that Hwang is an incredible human being.
As good as he has been in a Wolves shirt on the pitch, reports keep coming out about how well he conducts himself off the pitch and how nice and humble a person he is.
To have donated regularly to underprivileged people back in his homeland is just a lovely touch, and it shows that he just gets it.
He is a credit to the football club and himself, and hopefully there will soon be news of a contract extension, because he thoroughly deserves one.
