The long-term futures of four Wolves players have been made clear with the Old Gold set to make a U-turn with an out-of-contract star.
Wolves have been in a crisis in recent weeks. Results have heightened fears that the club will be relegated from the Premier League as they find themselves 19th, four points from safety.
Fans have been demanding that Gary O’Neil be sacked after he has picked up just three wins in his last 25 league games.
Yet, the club is now set to keep hold of the Englishman despite reports suggesting that Wolves contacted five managers during the last international break.
Now it seems that Wolves have made more decisions on the club’s long-term future with four players out of contract in the summer.
Wolves now want to keep out-of-contract Nelson Semedo

Nelson Semedo has been a reliable defender for many years in Wolves’ backline. Since he signed from Barcelona in 2020, he has been a mainstay at right-back.
His performances in the 2023/24 campaign earned him the Wolves Player’s Player of the Season Award.
Therefore, it came as quite a surprise when it was reported that Wolves were set to release Semedo at the end of his contract this summer.
However, it now appears that the club have made a sudden U-turn on this news.
According to Liam Keen, Wolves are now keen to keep hold of their right-back and tie him down to a new deal.
It is understood that Semedo is keen to stay at Wolves and he has a good working relationship with O’Neil.
However, it is not an easy deal to do and it is likely that both parties will have to compromise to get it over the line.
Much also depends on if Wolves can turn their season around and avoid relegation from the Premier League.
Pablo Sarabia is likely to leave Wolves in the summer with Craig Dawson’s future unknown

On top of Semedo, Pablo Sarabia, Craig Dawson and captain Mario Lemina are all also out of contract in the summer.
Negotiations are yet to start with any of these stars as concerns begin to buddle ahead of the January window.
However, Keen believes that Lemina’s contract will likely be extended, especially as the club has an option of an additional 12 months.
Yet, Sarabia is likely to leave due to his high wages combined with his inconsistent game time.
Finally, Dawson’s future remains uncertain. The centre-back had been a pillar in the Old Gold’s backline but his recent form has seen him benched.
