Wolves have reportedly outlined Pedro Neto’s price tag this summer, with a record fee expected if clubs want to acquire the winger’s services.
Neto has been one of Wolves’ shining stars so far this campaign. Despite initial fears of relegation from the Premier League, under the guidance of Gary O’Neil, the club stand a chance of European qualification.
The Portuguese winger has been one of the many driving points behind this success. So far this campaign, Neto has 10 assists as well as three goals.
This is particularly impressive when considering the fact that the 23-year-old missed two months with an injury.
However, with this form comes interest. Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool are all keen on Neto.
This speculation is yet to die down as the summer approaches. As a result, Wolves have reportedly set their asking price for the winger.
Club record bid needed for Pedro Neto

It has become clear that Wolves will not hand over Neto without putting up a fight. While it might be tough to hold onto the winger, the club are set to demand a hefty price for them to even engage with the bids.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs at The Dailey Briefing, Wolves will demand offers as high as £80 million for the Portuguese international.
“It’s understood that offers will be engaged with from £65m+, but the final number Wolves are looking for could be as high as £80m,” Jacobs reports. “No specific fee is being quoted yet directly to interested clubs.
“The only advantage the likes of Arsenal and Spurs perhaps have is Wolves, like many other Premier League clubs, will be conscious of profit and sustainability rules.
“A summer sale is looking quite likely, and along with the two north London clubs, Liverpool can’t be entirely discounted either, but a lot will depend on their new sporting director and manager first.”
If Wolves were to accept any offers within this range, it would make Neto the club’s record departure. Matheus Nunes currently holds the title after his £53 million move to Man City last summer.
Time for Wolves to let Pedro Neto go?

While Pedro Neto has been fantastic for Wolves, an offer of £80 million would surely be too high to turn down.
The club has been low on squad depth for a number of years and O’Neil has received little to no backing in the transfer market since coming in.
By selling Neto, Wolves would have enough to make key additions across the pitch which may be enough to push them into Europe.
The club have already shown this season they are capable of winning without Neto. When the winger was injured Wolves registered numerous memorable victories. This included beating Spurs, Chelsea and Brentford.
Wolves also need to ensure they don’t fall into the trap of not selling their players at their peak market value. Adama Traore and Raul Jimenez both left for little to nothing last summer despite being worth staggering amounts just a few seasons prior.
With Neto having a poor injury record, it might be sensible for Wolves to cash in on their prize asset this summer.
