An imbalance between incomings and outgoings at Wolves this summer points to a dip in quality of the squad, but a new record should provide some encouragement.
The season hasn’t started as one would have hoped.
Vitor Pereira’s side are winless in three league games, leaving them stranded at the bottom of the Premier League table.

Fans haven’t been pleased with the business done this summer, feeling as though the squad has been weakened significantly.
While that may be true with regards to top-end talent, an update from the club suggests squad depth is better than ever.
Wolves break club record for most players heading on international duty
As reported by Wolves, a record-breaking 15 players are joining their national teams during the September international break.
While fans might be disappointed to see no Premier League fixtures this weekend, they will be able to tune in to a host of Wolves players in action.

All six new signings will be hoping for minutes over the next week, in addition to nine who were already in the squad.
When you think of the quality sides Wolves have built since returning to the Premier League, it’s a surprise to see more international-level players in the squad than ever before.
Wolves’ impressive record could spell trouble during the season
While it’s encouraging to see so many Wolves stars on the international stage, it’s a double-edged sword that will be ready to slice when the African Cup of Nations kicks off in December.
Pereira has already begun planning for AFCON, but part of that plan was to bring in more depth in the final days of the window.
That never happened, and now the proposition of losing four first-team players for the busy month of December is cause for concern.
New striker Tolu Arokodare and wing-back signing Jackson Tchatchoua will join Emmanuel Agbadou and Marshall Munetsi in heading to the tournament, as well as youngster Tawanda Chirewa.
As if Wolves needed another blow to the squad.
