Wolves will now travel to Burnley with increased confidence after the Clarets picked up two suspensions against Chelsea.
Wolves face a potential banana skin match on Tuesday night when they travel to Burnley. The Clarets look all but certain for relegation after a dismal return to the Premier League.
Gary O’Neil’s side will be expecting all three points to return to Wolverhampton to keep their European hopes alive.
Wolves have traditionally struggled at Turf Moor in recent years. The Molineux outfit lost in at their ground Burnley’s previous relegation campaign 1-0, and hasn’t picked up a victory there since returning to the Premier League.
However, the club received a big boost to their hopes of picking up a victory on Saturday after Burnley picked up two red cards in their game against Chelsea.
Burnley without two key men for Wolves tie

If Burnely are going to try and cause another upset against Wolves, they are going to have to do it without Lorenz Assignon and manager Vincent Kompany.
The right-back was sent off late in the second half for a double yellow allowing Chelsea to take the lead from the penalty spot. Manager Kompany was then given his marching orders in the aftermath of the incident meaning the pair will both be suspended for Tuesday’s game.
It is likely assistant manager Craig Bellamy will be on the touchline in Kompany’s place as the club to and revive any hopes they have of staying up.
No excuses now for Wolves

Wolves now must surely end their terrible run at Turf Moor on Tuesday night. While injuries have stacked up for O’Neil’s side, they have to be getting the better of side’s like Burnley given their current situation.
In the reverse fixture, the Wolves managed to see out a 1-0 win at Molineux thanks to Hwang Hee-Chan’s goal. However, the result was far from confident with the hosts having plenty of nerving moments.
Doing the double over Burnley will show how far the club has come this season and would certainly consolidate their position in the table.
If Wolves turn up, they will surely get the result they desire and close in on a return to Europe for the first time since 2020.
With Matheus Cunha also on the mend, the ball is certainly in Wolves’ court, they just need to finish the job.
