It’s been a tricky season for Wolves but things are looking up now, and one signing made in recent times is thriving.
Wanderers have been down at the bottom of the Premier League table all season. But it looks as though survival is now very likely.
Wolves are nine points clear of the relegation zone. The gap had briefly been 12 points, but Ipswich Town beat Bournemouth last night.
Vitor Pereira is doing a great job, and has really gotten a tune out of this squad.
And one player in particular is thriving.
Andre Trindade was brought in last summer from Fluminense, and eyebrows were raised that Wolves got him, after a number of other clubs were keen.
He’s now thriving – and after the win over West Ham, he came in for high praise from the team over at Matchday Live Extra.
Andre told he’s already at least doubled his transfer value at Wolves

In the early weeks of Andre’s Wolves career, some actually questioned his signing.
With Wolves not signing a centre-back, some felt it was strange that the club decided to move for Andre – as good as his reputation was.
But we are now seeing that Andre is a quality player, and the club are lucky to have him.
After the win over West Ham, Andre came in for high praise from Mikey Burrows, and former Wolves full-backs Andy Thompson and Lee Naylor on Matchday Live Extra.
Naylor said: “He’s a top, top player. I think it’s a great buy, let’s be honest.
Burrows added: “He’s worth at least double now.
Naylor: “I think he’s there or there abouts, yeah. I mean, you’re starting for Brazil against Argentina, and you’re putting performances in the best league in the world like he is doing – that’s a great bit of business.”
Andy Thompson said: “All of a sudden, his form has just changed. I know it’s probably helped him with the players around him as well. His countrymen. It’s probably helped him. But you don’t become a Brazilian international overnight without putting in performances like he has done.
“How many times do we keep talking about him in games? It seems to be every game we talk about him. Credit to him. He’s a great asset to us.”
Andre has become undroppable for Wolves
Andre signed for Wolves for a reported £21 million all-in.
The suggestion here is that the star is now worth around at least £42 million – but realistically, Wolves will value him much higher than that.
He’s got a contract at Molineux until 2029 and is a full Brazil international with 12 caps under his belt. Furthermore, Andre been described by Dave Edwards as one of the best sixes in the Premier League.
At this point, he has become an undroppable player for Pereira.
Andre – who’s just won Wolves’ Player of the Month award for March – is an excellent defensive screen, but also superb with the ball, in terms of either recycling possession or breaking the lines.
Should he carry on performing like he is, he will probably be worth triple that £21 million fee Wolves paid by the end of the season.
