Wolves player runs the show at Tottenham while another continues to give “150%” for the club

A round-up of all the latest Wolves news, including how Joao Gomes dominated Spurs, one ‘outrageous’ thing Pedro Neto did and an update on Nathan Fraser.

Joao Gomes ran the show vs Spurs

Joao Gomes proved in one game how important he is to Wolves. The midfielder ran the show in the capital, dominating the middle of the pitch and ruining Spurs’ tempo.

On top of this, the Brazilian added two goals to his performance which he took in sensational fashion. Joao Gomes had not scored since his debut where he was substituted on versus Southampton in a 2-1 win. However, the midfielder took each goal like a seasoned striker as the visitors came away from the capital with three points.

This performance earned him plenty of praise from journalists. Many hailed him as the ‘best player on the field’ as he got Wolves a deserved win.

The winger has arguably been Wolves’ best player so far this season. Despite being out injured for a good portion of the first half of the campaign, Neto has quickly returned to form.

This was on show vs Spurs where, despite a quiet first-half for his standards, he sprung to life in the second period. This resulted in the Portuguese international making an incredible run from in own half to lay the ball off to Joao Gomes to make it 2-1.

Like Joao Gomes, Neto also received widespread acclaim for this magical moment of genius.

The 18-year-old has been Wolves’ breakout star so far this season. After scoring on his debut against Blackpool at the start of the season, he has now been seen as a first-team player.

The striker scored a highly important goal back in January when he netted the equaliser against Brentford in the FA Cup, as Wolves went on to win in extra-time.

In the week, Gary O’Neil was full of praise for the youngster. The manager stated that Fraser gives “150%” for Wolves as he looks to make more appearances before the end of the season.
