Wolves particularly impressed with one new signing in training so far

A lot was made of Wolves’ transfer business and the new signings have been questioned – but one new face seems to already be making an impression.

It has been a tough start to the new season for Wolves, who have lost all four of their games so far.

The hope now is that Vitor Pereira will be able to build some rhythm, now that the dust has settled after the transfer window.

Pereira’s squad is in place, and the manager must now determine his best team.

All the new signings are looking to break into the starting XI, with none of them having nailed down a spot just yet.

There have been some promising signs with Fer Lopez and Jackson Tchatchoua, and Ladislav Krejci had a promising debut against Newcastle.

But Tolu Arokodare appears to be making an impression behind the scenes.

Arokodare was Wolves’ final signing of the 2025 window.

His arrival perhaps wasn’t appreciated for as long as it should have due to the frustrations fans had about the lack of activity on the day.

Arokodare’s move had been on the cards for days, and fans were desperate to see a new midfielder come in.

On Saturday, Arokodare made his Wolves debut against Newcastle.

Pereira praised Arokodare, and potentially he could make a real impact.

And Molineux News’ transfer expert Graeme Bailey has revealed that Arokodare has been catching the eye in training at Compton Park since his move from Genk.

He said: “Tolu, Wolves are very happy with him. They like what they’ve seen in training early doors with him.

“They think they’ve got a good one. I do as well. I think he’s a little superstar potentially.”

Wolves camp together despite poor start

Bailey also shared what he’s been told about the current mood of the camp after four defeats.

He said: “Wolves are actually quite happy. The confidence level and the spirit around the club isn’t that of a team with zero points because, as we said, they are playing better than that. The camp is together.

“They’re not too worried, they’re not at loggerheads.”

Certainly, it is still early in the season with many matches left to play.

But Pereira could just do with a positive result or two soon to avoid that spirit and togetherness breaking.

Pereira is confident he can increase the level at Wolves and most fans will back him to do it.
