It has not been long since Mateus Mane broke into Wolves’ starting XI, and he has already started making waves in the Premier League.
Mane’s performance against West Ham has been bringing in tons of praise for the youngster, with Jermaine Defoe among his fans.
Additionally, former Wolves forward Matheus Cunha sent a wholesome message to the Old Gold starlet following his first goal.
The rapid rise has led to claims he could already leave Wolves, but with his contract now set to end in 2029, and not 2027, it feels far-fetched to suggest anywhere other than Molineux will be his home.

And reactions from the Old Faithful to that contract news has been pouring in.
After his showing on Saturday, Mane did win the man of the match award, as Molineux News’ audience emphatically voted.
However, he is now in line for an official award from the Premier League, where he will have to beat out the likes of Declan Rice.
Valid or outright crazy? Where do you place Mateus Mane among academy graduates at Wolves?
Early days, but the signs are so promising!
Mateus Mane is a nominee for player of the matchweek
Mateus Mane had a hand in all three of Wolves’ goals against West Ham, with one of them being his first ever for the club.
That finish meant the 18-year-old entered the Wanderers’ history books.
That performance has now also meant Mane has been nominated by the Premier League for the player of the matchweek, upon the conclusion of the round 20 fixtures.
He has some stiff competition, as there were plenty of exceptional performances this weekend, but fans can influence the award by voting on the Premier League’s website.
Finish this hypothetical 🔮: Mateus Mane remains a one-club man and ends his Wolves career on a combined _____ goals and assists.
Brentford’s Thiago makes the list for his hat-trick; Declan Rice’s and John McGinn’s braces against Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest, respectively, secure their nominations.
Meanwhile, Newcastle’s Malick Thiaw finalised the names for his goal and clean sheet against Crystal Palace.
Certainly tough opposition for the young talent, but we suspect it may not be the first time he receives a nomination.
Sign of things to come for Mateus Mane
Even if Mateus Mane does not win, it will be the first of many awards his name will be attached to.
If he can keep shining in the way he has been, and if somehow Wolves can survive relegation, then one of England’s top awards might not be out of the question.
If all of that happens, Mateus Mane is certainly in with a shout of a PFA Young Player of the Year award nomination.
However, that is still far away from happening, and right now, he needs to keep his head down and continue with the hard work he is putting in.
The sky is the limit for this kid.
