Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo lauds Everton counterpart Carlo Ancelotti

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Nuno Espirito Santo has lavished praise on his Everton counterpart Carlo Ancelotti, ahead of tonight’s Premier League clash.

The teams face off at Goodison Park in their penultimate game of the 2020/21 season, which will see around 6500 fans in attendance.

Wolves are looking to bounce back from defeat against Tottenham Hotspur.

While Everton are looking to make an unlikely push for Europe after drawing with relegated Sheffield United.

It’s been a strange season for the Toffees.

They enjoyed a fantastic start, but have tailed off in 2021.

Despite their recent struggles, Nuno has hailed Ancelotti for the work he has done.

He said (Wolves official): “Carlo is fantastic. I think he’s amazing, one of the best managers and a fantastic person. He’s someone who, when you have the privilege to be with him, it’s always very good.

“I have big admiration for Carlo. We see all the success that Carlo has achieved during his career and for us younger managers, he’s an inspiration.”

Nuno can outwit Ancelotti tonight

It’s clear Nuno respects Ancelotti very highly.

The Italian has undoubtedly achieved an awful lot in the game.

But his team are not in good form currently and it’s an opportunity for Nuno to get one over on the man he says is an inspiration.

They are there for the taking, and hopefully Nuno sets up nice and positively and gets some of the underperformers right up for it.
