It has been a rough start to the season for Wolves and Gary O’Neil and it could get even worse vs Brighton.
Gary O’Neil has previously impressed as Wolves manager but things really haven’t gone to plan in 2024/25.
Wolves lost to Manchester City in their last Premier League fixture and are now eight games without a win this term.
Only three other sides in the top flight remain winless, two of which only secured promotion in 2023/24.
Wolves face Brighton in a 3pm kick-off on Saturday and O’Neil will no doubt be hoping this is the game that turns his side’s fortunes around.
However, netruals are expecting the Midlands outfit to once again fall to defeat on Saturday, with Chris Sutton predicting a 2-1 win for Brighton against Wolves.
The prediction from Paul Merson was not any better, with the Seagulls tipped to steamroll the Wanderers and come away with a 3-1 victory.

Gary O’Neil may match unwanted record in Brighton vs Wolves
If those predictions indeed come true and Wolves fail to win a ninth game on the spin, O’Neil may have the unfortunate honour of matching a 64-year-old record.
After a 2-1 defeat to Pep Guardiola’s side, Wolves have lost their last five Premier League games despite finding the net in each match.
It has now been revealed that the last team to lose six top-flight games in a row while scoring in every tie was Manchester City between November and December 1960.
A few more unwanted Wolves stats have also emerged ahead of their meeting with the South Coast outfit.

Unwanted Wolves stats ahead of Brighton
Wolves have picked up just one point in their last 11 Premier League games, losing more (10) and conceding more (33) than any other outfit in that time.
Elsewhere, Jorgen Strand Larsen could set an unwanted Premier League record vs Brighton if two things happen in the game.
Things are really not looking good for O’Neil ahead of the game and fans will surley begin to start questioning his future if he loses once more on Saturday.
Who Wolves would replace the Englishman with remains to be seen but it is hard to see their owners being too happy to stick with the former Middlesbrough player for much longer.
Jamie O’Hara wants Sean Dyche to replace O’Neil but as he is currently Everton manager, Wolves will have to look eslewhere.
